Q: Who is Bear Valley Tech?
A: We’re a small application development company based in Spring Green, Wisconsin, owned and operated by Mike & Misty Fredrick. We specialize in web application development in many fields, but in particular we serve the craft and hobby industry.
Q: What is your relationship with QuillDesign?
A: QuillDesign is the maker of the SiteDirector product. BVT is a solution provider for SiteDirector, which allows us to build sites for you using their products.

Q: How much does the Site Director application cost?
A: The purchase price of SiteDirector is $495.00.
Q: Can I make installment payments for SiteDirector?
A: Yes! We offer an installment plan for SiteDirector of $100/month for six months.
Q: Can I convert my installment plan into a full plan?
A: Yes, simply make the remaining balance payment and you will fully own the SiteDirector source code.
Q: What features are included with SiteDirector?

Q: What do I get "out of the box" with SiteDirector?
A: SiteDirector provides full featured functionality to operate and manage a store with no frills. A site design must be developed to be applied to a SiteDirector installation.
Q: What happens when I choose to terminate my services with Bear Valley Tech?
A: We certainly hope you won’t have to make this decision, but in the event you do, we will provide with all information related to your site. If you own the source code, as described above, we will provide it to you. If not, we can provide you will all the pictures and information (customers, orders, products) from your SiteDirector website.
Q: If I’m using the installment plan and choose to end my service do I receive a refund for money paid for the SiteDirector license.
A: You will be entitled to a 25% refund of your paid license fee during the installment period. There is no refund available after the balance is paid in full and you have obtained the source code.

Q: What technology do you use to build your websites?
A: There are several tools that we use to build our websites. Adobe ColdFusion, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash, and Premiere are the primary tools used to build our sites. Database support is Microsoft SQL Server.
Q: Do I have access to the source code for my website?
A: It depends. If you are on the installment plan with SiteDirector you do not own the source code until all payments have been made. A full payment entitles you to the source code immediately.
Q: I’m a programmer, can I modify my SiteDirector source code?
A: This is not available with our standard accounts. Please contact us for more information in this area.

Q: Do you offer any site design services with the eCommerce account?
A: Yes. Bear Valley Tech will offer basic design services. My specialty is in programming. However, I can provide you with a professional site at a reasonable cost.
Q: How much do your design services cost?
A: It varies. Design services are provided either on a fixed bid or hourly basis. This is determined at the beginning of a project.
Q: I'm good at design and have some things in mind for my site...Can you work with it?
A: You Bet! We can work with you or any other designer you might hire to create the look of your new site.
